Bogor - The standardization of LPPOM MUI Halal Laboratory is increasingly being improved. If in 2016, the LPPOM MUI Halal Laboratory obtained SNI ISO IEC 17025: 2008, then on 7-8 November 2018 the LPPOM MUI halal laboratory succeeded in maintaining the accreditation certificate through the second surveillance and adjustments to the latest standards ISO IEC 17025 SNI: 2017.
As is known, LPPOM MUI Halal Lab has been accredited by SNI ISO / IEC 17025: 2008 for testing Porcine DNA Detection using Real-Time PCR with Scope of Meat and Processed Products, Drug/Pharmaceutical Preparations, and Seasonings with accreditation number LP-1040-IDN.
The latest SNI ISO IEC 17025: 2017 standard adapts to the latest technological developments and digitalization in the laboratory field, including the addition of risk management clauses to identify risks in halal laboratory services.
Deputy Director of LPPOM MUI, Sumunar Jati stated, "Surveillance and adjustments to the latest standards SNI ISO IEC 17025: 2017 are proof of strengthening LPPOM MUI services within the scope of halal laboratories. "This is an integral part of LPPOM MUI's halal certification services," he said.
Besides located in the Global Halal Center, Bogor, LPPOM MUI Halal Laboratory is also located in the Ruko Ikon City B6 area, Deltamas, Cikarang. The presence of the Halal Laboratory branch in Cikarang (business district) is to accommodate the halal industry which requires laboratory services that are fast, accurate, and efficient.
"With the accreditation of SNI ISO IEC 17025: 2017 for LPPOM MUI Halal Laboratory, the results of the analysis can be accounted for," said Sumunar Jati. (AH)
