The Coordinator of the Halal Indofood Secretariat (SHI), Agus Suprapto said that the collaboration with LPPOM MUI has long been established especially in halal certification. From this collaboration more than 700 Internal Halal Auditors (IHA) were created, 400 people had participated in the HAS23000-based Halal Assurance System (SJH) training, and 88 accredited halal supervisors.
"We appreciate the performance of LPPOM MUI and are grateful for the cooperation that has been established so far," said Agus.
Agus added, LPPOM MUI already has a good and reliable HAS23000 standard. This standard is very much needed, especially Indofood Group has 65 factories.
"In addition, LPPOM MUI already has the Cerol-SS23000 online halal certification system that greatly facilitates the halal certification process," Agus concluded.
Meanwhile, Director of LPPOM MUI, Dr. Ir. Lukmanul Hakim, M.Sc., said that halal certification currently exists is a long evolution of dialogues with all stakeholders, including with Indofood, in the process of finding the best formula.
"The rules of halal certification used are 'ainul yakin. The material found must be truly believed according to existing knowledge. Therefore, the LPPOM MUI auditors must have competent competence," Lukmanul Hakim continued.
In addition to science, said Lukmanul Hakim, halal certification also needs to be supported by clear and comprehensive data. To prove this, the auditor must check directly into the field.
This joint breaking of the fast was attended by representatives from SHI, Indofood's Internal Halal Auditor, and all LPPOM MUI's staff. (YS)
